Syrah

2007 Syrah

Silver Medal Winner, 2010 World of Wine Festival

Vibrant, dark purple, the color of the 2007 Estate Syrah demonstrates its youthfulness. The wine shows the quality of the vintage to perfection. A nose of berries and a wafting of woodsmoke provoke the appetite. In the mouth, the first impression comes from the texture of the wine, which seems almost thick. Yet the overall impression on the palate is one of lightness, finesse even. The finish recalls the first impression with berries and plums.

Viognier

2007 Viognier

Gold Medal Winner, 2009 Greatest of the Grape Festival

Grand Award for Excellence, 2010 Oregon
            Wine Awards

Opening with hints of pear and peach blossoms, this Estate Viognier is a classic expression of Viognier fruit. More Condrieu-like than the 2006, the word that comes readily to mind with this wine is rigor. A steely backbone of acidity wraps around and runs through the ample but restrained fruit. This is a fantastic food wine! A match for grilled freshwater/saltwater fish, cheese and fruit. The finish is bright and, again, classic. Winner of three gold medals.
